Sounds like Nkemdiche will be making his return against Auburn. Spruce Derden USA TODAY Sports

The Rebels' All-American defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche was expected to suit up against Texas A&M last week, but a headache setback his return after suffering a concussion against Memphis. Judging by all early indications, Nkemdiche should be ready to go this week against Auburn.

"I think Robert will be ready," Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said Tuesday. "He has not had any concussion symptoms for a couple of days now and he dressed out today. We'll see. It's a long way until Saturday."

Freeze wasn't the only optimistic coach, as Ole Miss defensive coordinator Dave Wommack expects his star tackle to return to the lineup as well:

The Rebels travel to The Plains to face an Auburn team desperate for a win and needing an upset to qualify for a bowl. While the Landsharks made a return last week, doing so on the road without Nkemdiche may be too much to ask.
