David Ortiz took his final curtain call as a member of the Boston Red Sox Monday night as the Cleveland Indians swept Boston in the American League Divisional Series, bringing Ortiz's magical 20-year career to an end. Many of Ortiz's peers paid tribute to the future Hall of Famer after the game, from Alex Rodriguez to Justin Verlander.

On Tuesday, a fellow Boston sports icon congratulated Ortiz on his accomplishments.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady reminded Ortiz last week that he could still change his mind and return - and after an MVP-caliber 2016 season, he'd clearly still be a valuable asset for the Red Sox.
