Dave Walkosky has left the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL and is set to become Georgia Tech's special teams coordinator.

The Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday that the university could not confirm that Walkosky will join the Yellow Jacket staff, but that it hoped an announcement would be made next week.

However, the Stampeders announced that they named a new defensive coordinator in Rick Campbell to replace Walkosky, who resigned earlier in the week to become special teams coordinator at the American institution.

Georgia Tech went 8-5 last season, good enough for a second-place tie in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. It lost to Utah in the Sun Bowl.
