The New Orleans Saints are in the midst of making tough decisions all over the roster. Apparently, one move the team decided to make instead of waiting until the final preseason game, was releasing wide receiver Nick Toon.

Part of that decision may have come from the fact that Ross Jones of FOX Sports reported that Toon was dealing with an ankle injury that would keep him sidelined until the start of the regular season.

Nick Underhill of The New Orleans Advocate broke the news through his Twitter account.

Throughout his two seasons with the Saints, Toon has played in just 16 total games, while catching 21 passes for 283 yards and a touchdown. The release of Toon like means that Brandon Coleman should be up for the No. 3 receiver role in New Orleans in 2015.
