While second-year wide receiver Mike Evans was cleared for action after dealing with an injured hamstring, he caught exactly zero balls in Week 2. Immediately after the game came the pressing question of "why?"

Well, now we know why, thanks to JoeBucsFan.com. As the site reported, Evans admitted that Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Lovie Smith had him on a pitch count.

"It was over 50, 40-some plays," Evans told JoeBucsFan.com of his limit today.

That makes a lot of sense, but what's great for the Buccaneers is that they didn't need Evans to produce in a massive way for them to get the win. Expect Evans to get plenty of catches in the coming weeks, especially when that snap count gets lifted.
