Report: Grizzlies' Randolph linked to drug bust

A drug bust in Indianapolis has been linked to Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph after investigators determined a car registered in his name was involved, according to the Indy Star .

A man suspected of dealing marijuana was arrested with three ounces of the substance while driving Randolph's 2008 Cadillac Escalade.

Randolph has not been arrested or charged.

Court documents said the Escalade also had two hidden compartments, commonly used for transporting drugs.

Police seized the vehicle, along with three custom Chevrolet Impalas also registered to Randolph that were in a local storage facility.

Police spokesman Lt. Jeff Duhamell said authorities are working on forfeiture procedures for the vehicles.

"He should know who is operating his vehicle and should be more responsible for those individuals," Duhamell said.

Randolph has had several prior legal issues, including a marijuana related arrest in Portland in 2003, when he played for the Trail Blazers.
