Remember Kevin White?
We hardly got a chance to know him before the Chicago Bears shut him down with a shin injury this summer. White was the seventh-overall pick in this year's draft and was supposed to lift Chicago's passing game to new heights.
The rookie wide receiver has been waiting it out on the reserve/physically unable to perform list. Although White is eligible to return from that designation after Week 6, Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times doesn't think his comeback will be that soon.
At 2-3 through five weeks, the Bears have done all right considering the health of their top two wide receivers (Alshon Jeffery has dealt with calf and hamstring issues). When/if they get White and Jeffery back at full strength this season, the Bears could be a tough team to beat.
In the meantime, Chicago has an assortment of athletes willing to chip in and make quarterback Jay Cutler's job throwing the ball a little easier.
