The Los Angeles Angels aren't wasting any time in their search for a new general manager.

According to Jeff Fletcher of the O.C. Register, the club has had 'multiple interviews' with 'internal and external candidates' as they seek to find a full-time replacement for Jerry Dipoto, who resigned on July 1. Bill Stoneman has served as interim GM since Dipoto's resignation, but the Angels seek a new candidate for the long-term.

Fletcher adds that the Halos are trying to hire a new GM right after the season ends, but they're open to finalizing a deal before the conclusion of the 2015 campaign.

A bit more about the Angels' search, from Fletcher:

It's clear the Angels want to have as much time as possible to re-tool and build what they hope will be a stronger team in 2016, no matter what happens over the course of this final month.

Entering play Tuesday the Angels sit at 65-66 and in need of a hot streak to get back into the thick of the postseason picture.
