Robert Griffin III already has a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

On Wednesday, the Hall collected the grass- and dirt-stained burgundy jersey and cleats worn by Griffin when he set the NFL single-season record for yards rushing by a quarterback in the Washington Redskins' win over the New York Giants.

Griffin ran five times for 72 yards in the 17-16 victory Monday night, giving him 714 yards on the season and topping the mark of 706 set last year by Cam Newton.

It's been quite a week for Griffin, whose RG3 nickname was chanted repeatedly when he made an appearance at the Washington Wizards' upset of the NBA champion Miami Heat on Tuesday.

The Redskins are 6-6 and host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
