Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cincinnati Reds recalled infielder Neftali Soto from Louisville on Saturday and optioned right-handed reliever Curtis Partch to the Triple-A team.

Soto batted .107 in 19 games for the Reds between April 3 and May 21 but is hitting .333 in 34 games with Louisville this season.

His arrival came one day after the Reds put second baseman Brandon Phillips on the disabled list with a torn ligament in left thumb. First baseman Joey Votto went on the DL Tuesday with quad strain.

Partch was called up Friday and walked the bases loaded in the eighth inning against the Pirates but escaped the jam and got his first major-league win after the Reds rallied to take the lead.
