Reds ink Wang, nine others to minor league deals

Cincinnati, OH ( - The Cincinnati Reds announced on Friday that they have signed 10 players to minor league contracts, including veteran pitcher Chien-Ming Wang, catcher Corky Miller and outfielder Jason Bourgeois.

Wang went 1-2 with a 7.67 ERA in six starts with the Blue Jays in 2013. He has struggled greatly and battled injuries since winning 19 games in both 2006 and 2007 for the Yankees. The Taiwanese right-hander is 62-34 with a 4.37 ERA in 136 career games (126 starts) with the Yankees, Nationals and Blue Jays.

Miller hit .257 with eight RBI in 17 games with the Reds last season. The 37- year-old is a career .193 hitter with 11 homers and 67 RBI in 216 games with the Twins, Red Sox, Braves, White Sox and Reds.

Bourgeois spent most of the 2013 season in Triple-A, where he batted .290 in 90 games. The 31-year-old has batted .259 with three homers and 29 RBI in 231 MLB games with the White Sox, Brewers, Astros, Royals and Rays.

Cincinnati also signed pitchers Jose Diaz and Lee Hyde, catchers Rossmel Perez and Max Ramirez, infielders Argenis Diaz, Reynaldo Navarro and Kristopher Negron to minor league deals.
