The Boston Red Sox optioned pitchers Alfredo Aceves and Allen Webster to Triple-A Pawtucket on Wednesday.

Both pitchers appeared in Boston's 11-8 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday. Webster started for the Red Sox and was shelled for seven runs on six hits and two walks in just 2 1/3 frames before Aceves entered from the bullpen and recorded the final two outs in the third inning.

Over six starts for the Red Sox, Webster owns a 1-2 record with a 9.57 earned run average, while Aceves is 4-1 with a 4.86 ERA over 11 games, including six starts, with the BoSox this season.

To replace both hurlers on the roster, the Red Sox recalled pitchers Pedro Beato and Steven Wright from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Beato has appeared in three games with Boston this season and hasn't given up a run while scattering three hits over three innings of relief work.

Wright, 28, made his major league debut with the Red Sox on April 23 and was tagged for five runs on six hits and four walks over 3 2/3 frames of relief work in a 13-0 loss to Oakland.
