CLEVELAND (AP) The scheduled game between the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians has been postponed because of inclement weather.

Rain fell in the Cleveland area most of Thursday and the forecast called for a chance of snow with temperatures falling into the 30s. The game was called about an hour before the scheduled first pitch at 6:10 p.m.

No makeup date was immediately announced.

The season opener slated for Monday also was postponed by inclement conditions. The game was made up Tuesday and the Red Sox won 6-2. The Indians rallied for a 7-6 victory Wednesday night.
