Harrison, NJ – Shortly after announcing the hire of a new Sporting Director, Red Bull New York revealed Friday that Hans Backe's contract as head coach will not be extended.
"We want to thank Hans for his work over the past three years and wish him the best of luck in the future," Global Sporting Director of Red Bull Soccer Gerard Houllier said in a statement.
Mike Petke will assume the coaching responsibilities on an interim basis.
