Real Betis has announced that it has signed year loan deal.

The Seville club announced that the Paraguayan striker would be introduced to the media at the Estadio Benito Villamarin on Tuesday.

Prior to joining Manchester City, Santa Cruz plied his trade in Germany with Bayern Munich before landing in England with Blackburn Rovers. He eventually signed with Manchester City in 2009 for $27 million, but returned to Rovers on loan last season.

Santa Cruz has found it difficult to break to break into the Manchester City lineup, as manager Roberto Mancini has favored Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero, and Carlos Tevez over the Paraguayan.
