It was the fourth MLB game canceled Wednesday by a rain storm that socked the Northeast.
It will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Thursday.
The Red Sox won the opener of the three-game series 7-4 on Tuesday, handing the Rays their third-straight loss.
