The Tampa Bay Rays acquired outfielder Ben Francisco from the Houston Astros on Friday in exchange for a player to be named later.

Francisco, 30, was hitting .247 with two home runs and five RBI in 31 games for the Astros this season. He began the year in Toronto and hit .240 with a pair of RBI in 27 games before landing in Houston as part of a 10-player trade.

Over six major league seasons with Cleveland, Philadelphia, Toronto and Houston, he is a .258 hitter with 47 homers and 181 RBI.
