Baltimore Ravens left tackle Eugene Monroe is expected to return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Monroe practiced fully this week for the first time since suffering a concussion on the very first drive of the season in Denver. James Hurst has struggled in his place, rated as the lowest left tackle in the league by Pro Football Focus.
"I'm looking to come make an impact and be a dominant player as I work to do every week," Monroe said per the team's official website. "It's no different that I've been out. I'm going to come in, step in and work to dominate and execute and do all the things we need to do to win."
Monroe has struggled to stay on the field since joining the Ravens from Jacksonville during the 2013 season. He missed five games last season, plus both playoff games.
"You can't really control being injured, and I had some things happen that were just unfortunate, both last year and this year," Monroe said.
Missing practice Thursday were receiver Steve Smith Sr. (back), tight end Crockett Gillmore (calf) and defensive lineman Chris Canty (calf). Smith is unlikely to play but head coach John Harbaugh says Gillmore and Canty have a chance to play.
