OWINS MILLS, Md. (AP) The Baltimore Ravens have launched their eighth training camp under John Harbaugh, hopeful it begins a journey that ends with a deep playoff run.

A year ago, the Ravens had to deal with the pending suspension of running back Ray Rice for domestic abuse. The situation worsened when a video surfaced in early September showing Rice striking his then-fiancee in an elevator.

There are no such distractions at this camp. The focus for the Ravens is to go farther than last year, when they lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion New England Patriots in the second round of the postseason.

On the first day of practice Thursday, top draft pick Breshad Perriman hurt his knee. Harbaugh says the injury ''is not serious.''
