The Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans announced a blockbuster trade Thursday morning that saw the Rams acquire the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft - but the deal was actually in place on Wednesday. Fox Sports' Peter Schrager confirmed that the Rams waited on the announcement to allow LA Lakers legend Kobe Bryant to have the full spotlight on Mamba Day.

"The biggest predraft trade since the one in 2012 was actually nearly finalized on Wednesday afternoon, but sources tell FOX Sports that both sides agreed to wait until Thursday morning, out of respect for Kobe Bryant playing in his final NBA game."

Los Angeles fans may be upset with how many picks the Rams had to give up to secure the No. 1, but this is certainly a nice gesture.
