Rams place Harris, Hoomanawanui on IR
St. Louis, MO – The St. Louis Rams place cornerback Al Harris and tight end Mike Hoomanawanui on injured reserve Monday.
Both players suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's 13-12 win over the Cleveland Brwons.
Signed in the offseason, Harris, a 14-year veteran who was injured five minutes into the game, had 15 tackles and seven passes defensed in his first season with the Rams.
It's the second year in a row his season has been cut short as he appeared in just three games with Miami last year due to a hamstring injury that landed him on injured reserve.
Hoomanawanui, in his second year out of Illinois, had seven catches for 83 yards over eight games this season.
