London, England – Chelsea midfielder Ramires will miss Sunday's match at QPR because of a knee injury, it was confirmed on Friday.
The Brazilian sustained the problem in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Everton last Sunday, but after sitting out his team's Champions League game with Genk on Wednesday, Ramires is still not fit to go against Rangers.
The 24-year-old struggled to make a big impact last season, his first at Stamford Bridge, but has been an ever present in the lineup of manager Andre Villas-Boas this term, starting all eight of Chelsea's games in the league and scoring three goals.
