Nine opening-round matches were postponed until Wednesday because of wet weather at Tennis Club Weissenhof.
Fifth-seeded German Philipp Kohlschreiber, sixth-seeded Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and seventh-seeded Colombian Santiago Giraldo are now on the Day 3 schedule at this clay court event.
The top seeds in Stuttgart are reigning champion Fabio Fognini and Russian 2002 Stuttgart titlist Mikhail Youzhny, both of whom received byes into the second round.
Fognini defeated Kohlschreiber in last year's finale.
The 2014 Stuttgart champion will earn $105,000.
