Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford will have foot surgery.

Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said that Ford was going to have surgery on his left foot on Tuesday in Carolina and is not sure of how much time he will miss.

Ford did not play in the team's loss to San Diego on Monday to open the season.

Ford missed six of the final seven games last season with a foot injury and re-injured the foot in the second preseason game against Arizona.

Over his two seasons in the NFL, Ford has totaled 44 catches for 749 yards and three touchdowns.

Allen also said that cornerback Ronald Bartell has a shoulder injury and he was getting an MRI on Tuesday.
