Reims, France (SportsNetwork.com) - PSG maintained its hold on Ligue 1 on Saturday with a comfortable 3-0 win at Reims, moving the club eight points clear at the top.
Lucas Moura's first-half goal helped the visitors seize the advantage, while Jeremy Menez scored on the hour mark and Zlatan Ibrahimovic added a third goal shortly before the final whistle.
PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu was called upon a number of times in the match, but he proved up to the task each time and even had a hand in the opening goal.
Sirigu's long clearance led to the goal in the 24th minute as the ball was brought down and played to Ibrahimovic, who released Lucas in on goal for an emphatic finish.
The lead was doubled on the hour mark when Reims lost possession in its defensive third, allowing Christophe Jallet to pick out Marco Verratti inside the area. Verratti then found Menez with a pass and he hammered the ball into the top corner of the net.
Reims had a way back into the match in the 68th minute when Verratti fouled Floyd Ayite inside the penalty area, giving Grzegorz Krychowiak a chance to halve the deficit from the penalty spot.
However, Krychowiak drilled his spot kick over the crossbar, and Ibrahimovic put the finishing touches on the win when he fired home his own rebound after his 25-yard free kick was blocked.
