Lisbon, Portugal – FC Porto's four-match winning streak to start the season came to an end at Estoril on Sunday as Luis Leal scored nine minutes from time to earn the home side a 2-2 draw with the defending champions.
Lica's 26th-minute opener for Porto was canceled out nine minutes later by Evandro's penalty kick, leaving the teams tied at 1-1 entering halftime.
Jackson Martinez tallied his fifth goal of the season in the 66th minute, putting Porto on course for another win, but Leal snatched a point for his side in the final 10 minutes, leaving Estoril with a place in the top five.
Benfica took advantage of Porto's draw by claiming a 1-0 win at 10-man Guimaraes to close to within three points of the top spot.
David Addy collected a second yellow card for Guimaraes in the 61st minute with the game still goalless and Oscar Cardozo took advantage 12 minutes later to notch the lone goal.
Braga moved to within one point of Porto in second place after a 1-0 triumph at Arouca that saw Aderlan Santos tally the only goal in the ninth minute.
Sporting Lisbon dropped into third place after a 1-1 draw against Rio Ave, which scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute through Ricardo Monteiro to cancel out a first-half strike from Sporting's Wilson Eduardo.
Olhanense's Oumar Diakhite scored in the 90th minute of a 1-1 draw at Gil Vicente, Maritimo handed Belenenses its fourth defeat in five games by a 1-0 score, Nacional downed Academica, 1-0, through Mario Rondon's first-half goal, while on Monday Pacos Ferreira collected its first point of the season in a 1-1 draw with Setubal.
