Porn star Jenna Jameson took to Twitter last week to claim her ex-boyfriend and UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz was an addict who faked drug tests.
The mixed martial arts fighter has full custody of the former couple’s 4-year-old twins. Now the two are embroiled in a bitter custody battle to determine whether the so-called “Queen of Porn” should reclaim custody of her children.
“My ex took my poor children away from me for NO reason. He did drugs and faked drug tests for UFC. I all my time with my babies, he partied,” Jameson tweeted last Thursday.
Jameson, who built an erotic film empire, posted pictures on Twitter of syringes and pill bottles which she said were proof of Ortiz’s drug use.
Ortiz quickly defended himself against Jameson’s allegations – saying it was all a lie. He also denied claims that he intentionally blocked his ex from seeing the children.
“I would never do anything to jeopardize my family,” Ortiz fired back on Twitter. “Being a great father and protecting the well-being of my children remain my top priority.”
He also blamed the porn actress for not seeing her children more often – saying he has given her ample opportunity to visit them but she has failed to do so.
"She hasn't shown up. She flakes out,” Ortiz told mmajunkie.com. “I'm just trying to do the right things for my kids right now. I'm taking care of myself. I have a nanny helping me, and I'm trying to do the right thing for my children.”
This isn’t the first time the two have bickered over guardianship of their children. The two were in a bitter custody batter in 2010 – but then reconciled.
Before his retirement in 2011 – and after the couple had patched things up – Ortiz praised Jameson in an interview with Fox News Latino.
“You know, last year there were some lies that were told about me and it was on the press usually,” Ortiz told Fox News Latino. “We fixed a lot of things. Jenna’s really stepped up as a mother and as a partner.”
He said he is a guy who is simply misunderstood.
“I wasn’t that perception of the person people thought I was last year. I never was that guy and I’ve never been that type of guy,” he said.
The fighter turned manager is now taking a different approach with Jameson for the sake of his children – and reputation.
"I walked away because I don't want her to ruin my name anymore," Ortiz told MMAJunkie.com. "I tried to help her, but I can't help. I'm just afraid of what the future holds.”
He said was concerned about Jameson and didn’t want her to end up hurting herself.
“I just hope this never happens with her. I hope she's able to pull herself out of the trenches and get sober and think about her children, in general. I really hope that happens. I do," he said.
Then he blamed her for sinking his fighting career.
“Since I've been with the girl, I've tried to help her, and I went outside my box to try and help. She ruined me,” Ortiz told MMAJunkie.com. “What, I won two fights since I was with her and lost seven?”
Ortiz ended his career with a 1-7-1 run.
