PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh revived its season with a rousing win over Virginia Tech last week. Yet the Panthers know they still have plenty to prove heading into Saturday's game against Georgia Tech.
Pitt (4-3, 2-1 ACC) remains in the thick of the wide-open Coastal Division race with five games remaining but the Panthers understand their victory over the Hokies won't mean a thing if they can't back it up.
Defensive lineman Dave Durham says the mark of a good program is one that can play consistently. That's been an issue at Pitt. The Panthers opened with three convincing wins then dropped three straight. Durham says his team's preseason goals are still attainable but they have to avoid the letdowns that have plagued them in the past.
