NEW YORK – Wagner quarterback Nick Doscher accounted for 304 yards and four touchdowns as the Seahawks blew out Cornell 41-7 on Saturday.
Torian Phillips rushed for 133 yards and Jeremy Martinez for 117, while Doscher added 77 on the ground and 227 through the air for Wagner (1-1).
Doscher scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter and later threw three touchdown passes — two of which were caught by Seahawks wideout Tyrone Collins.
An 88-yard touchdown strike from Doscher to wide reciever Justin Matthews in the third quarter was the final score from the Wagner quarterback and the only catch of the game for Matthews.
Cornell (0-1) committed three turnovers and was outscored 41-0 until the fourth quarter, when a 1-yard touchdown run from running back Marcus Hendren put the Big Red on the board.
