Peverly scores twice as Bruins defeat Lightning

Rich Peverley tallied two goals to help the 1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference finals.

Tyler Seguin recorded two assists and Tim Thomas stopped 25-of-26 shots for Boston, which earned its first win after dropping its season opener to Philadelphia.

Martin St. Louis scored the lone goal for the Lightning and Mathieu Garon allowed the four goals on 42 shots.
