Eden Prairie, MN – Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson missed practice Wednesday as he continues to recover from a high ankle sprain.
Quarterback Christian Ponder also sat out with a hip injury.
Head coach Leslie Frazier said Ponder was improving, but the team was moving cautiously about getting him back on the field.
"We're going to wait till tomorrow to see where he is," the coach said. "Probably the same thing with Adrian."
Peterson has missed two straight games for the last-place Vikings since being hurt during the first quarter of a November 20 loss to Oakland.
Minnesota, which has lost four games in a row to fall to 2-10, will play at Detroit on Sunday.
