Perron scores only goal in shootout, Oilers snap 9-game skid by topping Kings

David Perron's shootout goal snapped the Edmonton Oilers' nine-game losing streak in a 3-2 victory over the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night.

Matt Hendricks and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored in regulation for the Oilers (8-22-7), who won for just the second time in 22 games and broke their second-longest skid of the season.

It was also just the second win of the season for the Oilers against a Western Conference opponent (2-18-6).
