The Pelicans signed Chris Douglas-Roberts to a non-guaranteed deal, according to John Reid of NOLA.com.

New Orleans has 16 players currently under contract, and restricted free agent Norris Cole remains unsigned. This deal amounts to a training camp invite more than anything else.

Douglas-Roberts had a strong second half of the season in 2014 with Charlotte, but appeared in just 12 games for the Clippers last year. He's played for five different teams in six NBA seasons, but is getting another chance in New Orleans to attempt to make the roster.
