Barcelona forward Pedro has been ruled out for up to three weeks because of a sprained ankle.

Pedro sustained the injury in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Granada when he was forced from the game in the 55th minute, and tests have confirmed the extent of the problem.

"Tests this morning have confirmed that the forward has a sprain of his left ankle. The time off required is approximately two to three weeks," read a statement from the club.

The injury means that Pedro will miss league matches with Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao while also failing to take part in the team's Champions League contest with Viktoria Plzen.

The Spain international has scored one goal in eight league appearances for Barca this season.
