A day after Jonathan Papelbon's aggressive confrontation with Bryce Harper, the Washington Nationals have apparently removed his presence from the team store.

According to photos taken by fans prior to the Nats' home finale on Monday, Papelbon's No. 58 jersey was removed from the team store hours before the game, and appeared to be replaced with Stephen Strasburg jerseys.

A before-and-after photo captured by a fan revealed the contrast.

Another fan also snagged a photo of what appeared to be a worker taking Papelbon's jerseys away, but the number on the jerseys isn't visible.

While Papelbon has played his final game for the Nationals this season due to the suspension he received for his altercation with Harper, which was tacked on to a prior suspension he received for hitting Orioles third baseman Manny Machado, he is under team control for 2016.
