Toronto, ON – Florida Panthers forward Kris Versteeg did game road trip due to an undisclosed body injury.
Newcomer Wojtek Wolski, who was acquired from the Rangers on Saturday, will likely take Versteeg's spot in the lineup.
According to the Miami Herald, Versteeg will miss at least the next three games.
Versteeg broke into the NHL in 2007 after being selected by the Boston Bruins in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
He played parts of three seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, and helped them win a Stanley Cup in 2010 before signing with Toronto prior to the 2010-11 season.
Versteeg was then traded to the Philadelphia Flyers at the deadline that year, but failed to find his niche on the ice.
He has 22 goals and 27 assists in 59 games this season with Florida.
