Cincinnati, OH – The San Diego Padres activated catcher Nick day disabled list on Friday.
Hundley was placed on the DL July 8 with a right elbow strain.
Hundley was hitting .222 with three homers, five doubles and 15 RBI in 45 games this season before the injury.
In a corresponding move, the Padres optioned catcher Luis Martinez to Triple-A Tucson.
In 13 games with San Diego, Martinez hit .263 with one home run and 10 RBI.
