The Pac-12 has long been known as the conference of quarterbacks, producing stars like John Elway, Matt Leinart and Andrew Luck.

This year's crop may be the best in the conference's rich quarterback history.

The Pac-12 has 10 returning quarterbacks from last season and some talented newcomers.

Near the top of the list are a pair of Heisman Trophy contenders: Oregon's Marcus Mariota, a finalist for last year's award, and UCLA's Brett Hundley.

The conference also includes Arizona State's Taylor Kelly, Oregon State's Sean Mannion, USC's Cody Kessler and Stanford's Kevin Hogan.

New Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon had a solid debut, too, setting a school freshman record with 425 yards passing.
