They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, and who doesn't love pizza? Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson put them together Friday and came up with the perfect pepperoni proposal for his girlfriend.
In a series of Instagram posts, Karlson and Melinda Currey chronicled how they became engaged.

According to the Ottawa Citzen:
Kyle Cruickshank, co-owner of Pure Kitchen, said Karlsson got down on bended knee at the All Saints Anglican Church courtyard beside his Westboro restaurant Friday afternoon.
And, of course, she said yes.
Karlsson leaves Murray and gets back to his defense partner on Saturday as Ottawa plays host to the Florida Panthers.
