Orlando Magic forward Glen Davis fractured his left foot during Wednesday's loss to the New York Knicks.

Davis left the game early in the first quarter and was seen limping to the locker room. He did not return and the severity of his injury became known to the team midway through the contest.

"It's really unfortunate because I know that he looked forward to this year," Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said. "It's really unfortunate for him to be hurt this year for multiple times."

The injury could sideline Davis for the remainder of the season. Coming into Wednesday's contest, the sixth-year veteran was averaging career-bests in points (15.5) and rebounds (7.5) per game.

Davis had been previously battling a shoulder issue, which caused him to miss 11 games earlier in the campaign.
