Rex Ryan says there's "no doubt" the New York Jets have an open competition at quarterback. Michael Vick begs to differ.

Vick reiterated his comments from last week, insisting Wednesday that "it's not an open competition" between him and Geno Smith. Vick has said since he signed with New York in March that Smith is the team's starting quarterback.

Ryan contradicted Vick's assertion, saying the Jets have two quarterbacks competing for the job, and added that "we'll let it play out a little bit." Shortly after those comments, Vick — who, at first danced around questions — conceded again that the job, in his eyes, is anything but up for grabs.

Both Vick and Smith split snaps with the starting offense on the second day of organized team activities.
