DALLAS (Reuters) - Dirk Nowitzki has re-signed with the Dallas Mavericks, the player's adviser told local media on Saturday.
The NBA's free agents cannot officially sign until July 8, but Nowitzki's representative Holger Geschwindner said an agreement had already been struck with the Mavericks.
"Yes, we have a deal," he told the Dallas Star-Telegram.
The contract could be worth as much as $96 million over four years, the paper said.
The seven-foot power forward is the Mavericks all-time leader in scoring and rebounding and averages 22.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
The nine-times All-Star has played his entire 12-year career with Dallas and was the league's Most Valuable Player in 2007.
