Parker Smith scored 17 points to lead North Florida to its third consecutive victory, beating Mercer 74-64 on Saturday.

The Ospreys (8-12, 5-4 Atlantic Sun Conference) earned just their second win in 11 tries against Mercer, thanks to a 55.3 percent shooting effort (26 of 47).

Andy Diaz and Jimmy Williams each had 12 points and six rebounds for North Florida, which led 35-31 at halftime.

The Ospreys started the second half on a 24-10 run to take a 59-41 lead with 11:51 left to play.

Mark Hall capped a 10-0 run for the Bears (6-14, 3-6) with a 3-pointer at the 6:31 mark. Chris Smith nailed a 3 to close the deficit to 66-60 with 4:18 remaining, but that was as close as Mercer would get.

Brian Mills scored 16 points, Brandon Moore and Smith added 14 apiece for the Bears. Hall finished with 12 points on 4-of-4 shooting from 3-point range.
