It didn't take long for David Clarkson to create a stir within the NHL.

Clarkson was ejected from the preseason game against the Minnesota Wild just 63 seconds into the game after kneeing Wild defenseman Justin Fontaine.

The NHL had requested video footage of the incident.

Clarkson didn't seem to be too concerned over any possible suspension when asked by Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Post Dispatch.

"I'm not too worried about (further discipline)," Clarkson said after the game."It just sucks. It's a tough one to swallow. But you put it behind you and get ready for the next game."

Incidents like this seem to follow Clarkson around wherever he goes. Clarkson was suspended for 10 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2013 after he left the bench to join a line brawl against the Buffalo Sabres.
