Madison, WI ( - Sam Dekker had 17 points, Nigel Hayes scored 16 and No. 6 Wisconsin was crisp in an 82-50 win over No. 25 Iowa on Tuesday.

Frank Kaminsky and Bronson Koenig added 13 points each for the Badgers (17-2, 5-1 Big Ten) and Kaminsky pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Wisconsin picked up its eighth consecutive Big Ten home win and tied No. 13 Maryland for first place in the conference.

The Badgers committed just one turnover.

"One turnover? Come on," said Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan. "I thought our guys did an excellent job making the extra pass, using the ball fakes ... There is not too many times you can do that."

Jarrod Uthoff scored 12 points to lead the Hawkeyes (13-6, 4-2), who scored just 17 points in the first half and had a two-game winning streak snapped.

Wisconsin is 10-1 in its last 11 games overall, the only loss coming Jan. 11 at Rutgers when it played without Kaminsky because of a concussion and finished the game without point guard Traevon Jackson, who suffered a fractured foot in the second half.

Wisconsin opened the game on a 13-4 run and never trailed. Hayes scored the first four and Kaminsky and Josh Gasser both buried 3s during the flurry.

The Badgers were 9-of-22 on 3-pointers in the game.

"We broke down," said Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. "They're an excellent 3-point shooting team, but they're also a very good 1-on-1 team. We stayed a little longer than we probably should have on our help and didn't recover quickly enough. They hit a couple early (3s) and that's not how you want to start, obviously."

Their lead reached double digits on a Dekker 3 with 6 1/2 minutes remaining in the first half and never dipped below 10 after that. It was 18 at halftime and reached as high as 34 near the end of the game.
