No. 2 Notre Dame beats Villanova by 33

Skylar Diggins scored 20 points, Devereaux 43 win over Villanova on Saturday.

The Fighting Irish (19-1, 7-0 Big East) extended their winning streak to 16 since a loss to No. 1 Baylor two months ago and will have a tough test on Monday with a visit from Tennessee. They got 10 points apiece from Ariel Braker and Natalie Novosel.

Villanova (12-7, 2-4) played without head coach Harry Perretta, who missed the game reportedly because of a death in the family.

Rachel Roberts scored 14 points and Laura Sweeney added 10 for the Wildcats, who have lost four of their last five.

Notre Dame had a 44-16 lead at halftime and improved to 18-10 all-time against Villanova, including three straight wins.
