No. 17 Georgia Tech has clinched a spot in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game.

The Yellow Jackets (9-2, 6-2) earned a trip to Charlotte as Coastal Division champions Thursday night when Duke lost to North Carolina 45-20.

Georgia Tech completed its ACC schedule with a 28-6 victory over Clemson last weekend. Then, the Yellow Jackets needed a little help — the 25th-ranked Blue Devils had to lose one of their two remaining games.

North Carolina made sure it wasn't a long wait, racing to a 38-7 lead on the way to an easy victory over Duke.

Georgia Tech will face top-ranked Florida State on Dec. 6. The Yellow Jackets will be appearing in the ACC title game for the third time in six years and fourth time overall.
