Chris Flores scored 17 points and New Jersey Institute of Technology snapped a six-game losing streak with a 73-47 win over Marywood on Saturday.

The Highlanders closed out the first half with a 14-1 run to take a 36-27 lead at the break. Two big runs broke the game open for the Highlanders in the second half — a 10-2 run gave them a 56-36 lead with 9:49 remaining and a 12-0 run put the Highlanders ahead 71-40 at the 4:50 mark.

Marywood went without a field goal for more than 8 minutes late in the game before Kirk Fallon broke the drought with a layup with 32 seconds remaining.

Sammy Schickel and Jheryl Wilson each added 12 points for the Highlanders (3-10), who have not beaten an NCAA Division I team this season.

Tyler Reinhard scored 15 points and John Foreman had 10 for the Pacers (5-4), an NCAA Division III team.
