New York, NY – The National Hockey League on Thursday announced a salary cap increase of $5.9 million to a total of $70.2 million for the 2012-13 season.
All 30 teams must spend at least $54.2 million, with an adjusted midpoint of $62.2 million.
The free agency period for the NHL begins on July 1.
