I know I’m a little dramatic, to some it’s just football. For me (a Dallas Cowboys fan) it’s a little bit of pride. Lets start with what has darkened my mood.
The Dallas Cowboys Blow Another One
Eli Manning lead the Giants to two touchdowns in the final 3:14 and Jason Pierre-Paul blocked a field goal in the closing seconds, giving New York a 37-34 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
The Dallas Cowboys looked like they were going to overcome an opening drive safety that put them down 2-0 right off the bat to the New York Giants.
The lead changed 8 times throughout the game but with almost 6 minutes left the Cowboys went up 34-22.
Sure, they had lost starting RB DeMarco Murray for the year with a broken ankle, but they were going to win this game right?
WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
Our Rob Ryan (defensive coordinator) led defense gives up two TD’s with just over 3 minutes left and now the Boys sit at the 51 yard line with seconds left and their kicking team ready to kick.
Just like last week folks. Except this time Kicker Dan Bailey appears to make the game tying kick only for the Giants to ice him.
Let’s try it again. Blocked! Game over. Just like that, the Giants' four-game losing streak was done. And the NFC East race is cracked open, with New York reclaiming the inside track. The Cowboys lose to the Giants and both teams are now 7-6.
"It's been awhile since we've had that winning feeling," said Manning, who pulled off his sixth fourth-quarter win this season. "It's good to have excited guys with a lot of smiles in the locker room."
I can’t even blame QB Tony Romo, he threw four TD passes, no picks and for 321 yards.
"We knew what was on the line," Cowboys linebacker Bradie James said. "But those guys made one more play than we did."
Dallas has gone from winning four straight to losing two in a row, both in dramatic, frustrating fashion that involved missed kicks by rookie Dan Bailey, who'd been so good for so long this season. The Cowboys also lost running back DeMarco Murray to a broken right ankle, ending his record-setting rookie season.
"We certainly know we've got our work cut out for us," team owner Jerry Jones said in a brief statement.
Giants WR Victor Cruz had 7 catches for 83 yards. At one point Dallas WR Dez Bryant mocked Cruz’s salsa dance but because they lost it doesn’t matter.
And the Cowboys season for the second straight week is sadder than that “Cats In The Cradle” song by Harry Chapin.
Jets Dismantle the Chiefs
It’s tough being the Kansas City Chiefs, you start the season with promise then you lose your starting QB Matt Cassel. So what do you do? You get the best QB available in Kyle Orton only to lose him on one play.
That has left them with Ol’ QB Tyler Palko at the helm. Things didn’t get much better this Sunday.
The New York Jets rolled the Chiefs 37-10 to go 8-5. They’re still in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Jets QB Mark Sanchez had one of his most flawless games this season with two touchdown passes and two touchdown runs. He threw for 181 yards.
The Chiefs are now 5-8.
Rivera’s Panthers Lose to the Falcons
A bad day for Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera as his Panthers dropped to 4-9 after Atlanta Falcons came from behind to win the game 31-23.
Panthers QB Cam Newton had two touchdown passes but two picks as well.
Wasn’t a good day to be a Carolina fan and while everyone’s waiting for next year, 9 losses are hard to swallow.
Atlanta TE Tony González caught 7 passes for 81 yards.
Pats Hold on to Beat the Redskins
For the first time in a long time New England Patriots QB Tom Brady had a bad day. He wasn’t clicking with his receivers and he even got into a loud shouting match with his offensive coordinator.
He threw an interception in the red zone.
But even on “bad day” like Sunday he threw three TD passes and for 357 yards.

The Pats beat the Washington Redskins 34-27.
New England TE Aaron Hernández had 5 catches for 84 yards and he’s the #2 TE after Rob Gronkowski who had 160 yards receiving and two TD’s setting a record for TD passes in season by Tight Ends.
The Pats are 10-3. The Redskins are… irrelevant.
Skelton Leads Cards Over 49ers in Relief
Last week Arizona Cardinals back up QB John Skelton returned to the bench as starting QB Kevin Kolb returned from injuries to lead the Cards to a win over the Dallas Cowboys.
After the San Francisco 49ers knocked out Kolb during the Cards first offensive series in this game, Skelton was back in what turned out to be a back and forth matchup that had the 9ers clinging to a 4 point lead in the 4th quarter.
Nearly twelve minutes into the fourth quarter and Skelton led his team to a touchdown and a close 21-19 victory over the second best team in the NFC (10-3).
The Cards are now 6-7. Skelton threw for 3 TD’s, 2 picks, and 282 yards.
